Co-sponsored by the Sausalito Historical Society
His iconic sea lion sculpture on the Sausalito waterfront has been photographed by thousands of tourists and is enjoyed daily by residents, but most people know nothing about the artist, longtime Sausalito resident Al Sybrian (1924–2007). For this special presentation, co-creators Bill Kirsch and Terrence Clark will discuss their new book about Sybrian, The Sea Lion and the Sculptor, and give an in-depth look at this celebrated but relatively unknown artist. After the talk, guests are invited upstairs to the Sausalito Historical Society Exhibit Room for refreshments and a special exhibit of Sybrian's work -- most never seen before.
