Request for Proposals for the Curb Ramp and Pedestrian Circulation Design Project 

 

 The City of Sausalito seeks proposals from qualified firms for preparation of bid documents for
the construction of curb ramps and sidewalk improvements 1) along the Bridgeway and Ensign
St. property frontage of 1000 Bridgeway and 2) at the northwesterly corner of the Bridgeway and
Turney St. intersection as generally described below. Improvements shall be designed to comply
with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the California Building Code for accessibility and other
relevant and appropriate codes or guidelines applicable.

 

1) Bridgeway and Ensign St, improvements shall including but not be limited to:

i) New curb ramp for pedestrians crossing Bridgeway to the westerly corner of the
Bridgeway and Caledonia St. intersection,
ii) New curb ramp for pedestrians crossing Ensign to the southeasterly corner of the
Bridgeway and Ensign St. intersection,
iii) Coordination with property owner and businesses owners of 1000 Bridgeway to
provide accessible access to the existing building’s entrances,
iv) Coordination with the property owner and businesses owners of 1000 Bridgeway to
maintain to the maximum extent practical the entitlements for outdoor seating and
furniture per the City of Sausalito Planning Commission Resolution No. 2000-25,
v) A 2015 topographic survey along the affected right of way is available in AutoCAD.

2) Northwesterly corner of the Bridgeway and Turney St. intersection, improvements shall
include but not be limited to:
i) New curb ramp for pedestrians crossing Bridgeway and Turney St.,
ii) Coordination with the property owner and business owners of 1301 Bridgeway to
create an accessible entrance to the business located in the building’s southeasterly
corner while maintaining access to, and display space, as may be practical, for the
adjacent business in the same building.
iii) Topographic survey is not available at this location.

GATE 5 ROAD SEWER REPLACEMENT PROJECT


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Sausalito will receive sealed bids for the award of the contract for the above designated project.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Replacement of existing plastic lined 8-inch sanitary sewer with new 8-inch sanitary sewer; replacement of existing manholes; construction of new manholes, manhole rehabilitation, locating and replacement of existing lower sewer laterals and installation of cleanouts; construction of shored excavations related to the work; traffic control; storm water pollution prevention; dewatering, testing, and water treatment; bypass pumping; soil/fill testing, hauling and disposal to Class 2 landfill; pavement repair, storm drain and catch basin replacement; grading and other miscellaneous work needed to restore areas disturbed by the construction back to original condition.

The City has received pre-approval for disposal of excavated materials from this project at the Altamont Class 2 Landfill in Livermore for a tipping fee of $18/ton. Redwood Landfill in Novato will not accept excavated materials from this project.

Bids due: Sealed bids shall be received at the Office of the City Clerk of the City of Sausalito at 420 Litho Street until 2:30 PM June 14, 2016, at which time they will be publicly opened and read and which may be referred to the City Council for subsequent action.

AND
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT FOR THE
SOUTHVIEW PARK RENOVATION PROJECT

 

 With this Request for Proposals ("RFP"), the City of Sausalito ("City") seeks experienced and qualified design firm(s) or team(s) of firms to provide construction documents for the renovation of its Earl F. Dunphy Park (the "Dunphy Project") and design development for renovation of its Southview Park (the "Southview Project").

 Dunphy Park is located in the vicinity of Latitude 37.861089° and Longitude -122.487770°, east of Bridgeway and bounded by Napa Street (across a small section of private property) to the north, Litho Street (unimproved right-of-way) to the south and Richardson’s Bay to the east. See Attachment "A" for location map. Southview Park is located in the vicinity of Latitude 37.850650° and Longitude - -122.482114°, just south of North Street between Third and Fourth Streets in Old Town/Hurricane Gulch.

The City received three bids for the Robin Sweeny Park Improvements. Bauman Landscape & Construction Inc is the apparent low bidder with base bid of $1,439,781 and total bid of $1,791,158 for all bid items. Suarez & Muñoz is the second lowest bidder with base bid of $1,599,614 and total bid of $1,930,944. Team Ghilotti is the third lowest bidder with base bid of $1,924,849 and total bid of $2,600,328.

 City of Sausalito Pre-Cleaning and Closed Circuit Television Sewer and Storm Drain Inspection Services

The City of Sausalito would like to notify your company that we are requesting proposals for our City of Sausalito Pre-Cleaning and Closed Circuit Television Sewer and Storm Drain Inspection Services.
The City of Sausalito seeks Proposals from qualified organizations to assist the City to complete pre-cleaning and closed circuit television (CCTV) inspection of approximately 8,250 lineal feet of sewer pipelines ranging from 4 to 8 inches in diameter, associated lower laterals, manholes, and 4,183 lineal feet of storm drain pipelines within the same roadways. The City may elect to contract with the selected firm to continue the CCTV Inspection Project in one or more subsequent years.
