Suspicious Death Investigation

On Sunday, 7-20-14, at approximately 2:38 AM, the Sausalito Police Department received a report of shots fired. Further investigation led the officers to a residence in the 100 block of San Carlos Avenue. Officers responded to the residence, made entry to check the welfare of people inside and ultimately found two deceased persons. The investigation is currently ongoing. The Sausalito Police Department is being assisted by the Central Marin Police Authority and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office.

The Sausalito Police Department wants to reassure the public that there is no outstanding public safety risk due to this incident. This case is an isolated incident and is not related to the recent burglaries. If anyone has any information regarding this crime please call the Sausalito Police Department at 415-289-4170.
