4th of July LOGO 2016

The City of Sausalito’s 4th of July Festivities were a grand success this year. The parade went off without a hitch and was led by our Grand Marshal John Lerner. It included old favorites such as the Sausalito Woman’s Club and the Cal Alumni Band, and included a few newbies like Crossfit Sausalito and the Marine Mammal Center. The Sausalito Woman’s Club won the Best Music/Singing group with their dog-gone-good performance. This Parade was one of the best ever! Then the party moved to Dunphy Park for our famous picnic. Rotary and Galilee Harbor provided the eats and Rec’ers the drinks. The crowd was large and had a great time relaxing in the park. The annual Tug-O-War and Egg Toss were a big hit as usual. The party ended around 4:00pm and then moved down to Gabrielson for the concert and fireworks. Adam’s Grub Truck and Naked Chorizo food truck provided the vittles and were quite yummy. Top Shelf, the night’s entertainment, were stellar and got everyone dancing. Their funk grooves got the whole crowd excited for the night’s finale. Happy faces and basketballs showered the sky in this year’s spectacular fireworks show. These 4th of July Festivities can go down in the books as a stupendous success.

Winners of the Parade categories:

Best Float: 1st Place - Friends of Sausalito Dog Park, 2nd Place - Floating Home Association, 3rd Place  The Vote Boat

The Sausalito Parks & Recreation Department is once again looking forward to bringing you a fantastic night of music and fireworks to celebrate the 4th of July but, we need your help. As with many of our community events, the Fourth of July celebration would not be possible without the generous contributions we receive from the many organizations, businesses and residents in our community.

Our goal this year is to raise the $30,000 for the fireworks celebration solely through donations as the City does not have the financial means to subsidize this fantastic event.

If you would like to donate simply send a check payable to: "Sausalito Fireworks Donations" and mail it to The City of Sausalito, 420 Litho Street, Sausalito, CA 94965
