Parking Regulations You Should Know About

There are a number of Sausalito parking regulations that you should know about, whether you are a long-time resident or a first-time visitor. Listed below are a few of the more popular issues that come up about parking in Sausalito, the answers - and how much it might cost if you don't take the regulations to heart !!


Did You Know That...

...Parking at meters is FREE after 6:00 pm (until 9:00 am the next morning)?
    (and FREE is GOOD !!!)

...Meters operate 365 days a year?
    ($40.00 fine)

...Long Term Parking - up to 72 hours - is available? 
    You may park in Municipal Lots #1 or #3. The cost is $1.00 per 20 minutes
    
for the first two hours, and $1.00 per each half hour after that. 
    Maximum of $25.00 per day. There is a $25.00 lost ticket charge.


...Parking after 6:00 pm on some streets above Caledonia St. requires a permit?
    ($63.00 fine, so read the signs !!!)

...Vehicles cannot park for more than 72 hours without moving?
    ($280.00 fine)

...Trailers cannot park for more than 1 hour without moving?

...Motor Homes must be moved at least every 8 hours?
