As most of you are probably already aware, the news/weather reports are forecasting some serious weather over the next few days - up to eight inches of rain could fall.  Our Police Department has provided you with some helpful resources and information.  Please make sure that you read this important information on Storm and Emergency Preparedness.

Additionally, as the weather turns, our City workers could be extremely busy moving from location to location throughout town.  You can help with the little things; if you see a storm drain near your property that has filled with leaves, and you don't see our Public Works Crews in your area, go ahead remove the leaves - this may just help divert a water flow and avoid flooding onto your property.

Remember to call 9-1-1 (or 472-0911 from a cell) if you come across a downed tree or live wires - DO NOT ATTEMPT TO MOVE ANY WIRES FROM THE ROADWAY OR FROM YOUR PROPERTY - CALL IMMEDIATELY FOR ASSISTANCE!

It's best to be prepared -- make sure you have fresh water and batteries on hand . . . . .
